Axxsys

Axxsys is being built out as a core pillar of our business, providing complementary services to our core consulting proposition described above.

Alongside our high-touch, high-knowledge consulting proposition, Axxsys will complete our proposition to clients, enabling Alpha to provide a full, end-to-end support service across all aspects of a client’s change journey. Specifically, Axxsys will:

• Provide knowledgeable resources who can implement, configure and support the major platforms used by our clients
• Form a range of partnerships with key vendors to position itself as a preferred implementation partner for major business applications
• Assist our clients with their journey to the next generation of cloud-based architectures
• Help clients to define and implement their future state data architectures
• Help clients with bespoke development that complements their core application architecture
• Provide knowledgeable and client-focussed support for client’s major applications, including upgrades, migrations and business-as-usual issue management

By comparison to our advisory consulting staff, Axxsys resources will be:

• Able to implement, configure and support key business applications
• Able to build out and implement data management strategies across client organisations
• Able to undertake bespoke development, including of key data interfaces

Role Responsibilities:

The Associate Director will report to Jubin Majlessi – Head of Europe, Axxsys Consulting – and be vested with the following areas of responsibility:

• Build the Axxsys business in allocated European regions
• Lead the development of propositions and collateral for Axxsys that form the basis of our ‘go-to-market’ approach
• Actively and independently pursue business development opportunities across our target client base, working in concert with the consulting team in the EU to develop joint opportunities where appropriate
• Actively contribute to the delivery of client projects
• Develop and put in place appropriate partnerships / collaboration agreements with key vendors that position Axxsys as a leading implementation partner for those vendors in the industry
• Work with the Axxsys executive team to develop and promote cross region services to our clients.
• Put in place and execute a recruitment plan to build out the appropriate organisational structure in Europe, and recruit suitably qualified and specialist resources to deliver Axxsys propositions
• Develop a culture within Axxsys which is aligned with Alpha’s meritocratic and inclusive values, and positions Axxsys as the best place to work amongst competitor organisations
• Deliver results based on P/L targets for the region

Role Requirements (Skills, Experience and Qualifications):

• A strong and credible knowledge of the Asset and Wealth Management industry, and the platforms, technology and operating models that drive it
• An in-depth understanding of market trends, drivers and outlook of the Asset and Wealth Management market
• Deep experience in advisory and delivery with the ability to create a client presence including oversight of active projects
• Track record of being able to build propositions in the fields of technical and business consulting
• A strong personal network of contacts (across the asset and wealth management industries and potentially beyond) which can be leveraged for business development with Axxsys
• A minimum of 10 years proven experience (with preference for 15+ years) in the delivery of consulting or change projects, gained within a leading financial institution, financial software vendor or consulting firm
• Significant experience working with ‘blue-chip’ Financial Services organisations, preferably Asset or Wealth Managers, on a wide range of assignments
• Excellent communication skills and a clear ability to lead and inspire.
• The ability to proffer good mentorship and coaching skills towards other team members

• Strong academic background from a leading institution
• Willingness to travel
